More cabinet work and my railing is in
I'm getting very close to finished. Two pieces of molding to seal
and install and the nosing, which is already stained and ready
to be put in place.
Another big step was getting the balusters installed. Father thought
and thought, and then went to work. Over the next few days he
hopes to get the railings finished on the 3rd floor, also. They're very
wrought iron and very castle like. We're so pleased.

The balusters I selected fit fine in my room.

From the other side. I wanted the ones with bellies, but I had to get very shallow bellies so they wouldn't interfere with the stairs.
From the stairs.

Only 3 pieces to go. The lower side molding and the nosing.
Stain and routering does amazing stuff.

There are a few gaps, but nothing you see unless you look closely.
My anniversary corbels finally found a use. They're not oak, but the grain and stain match pretty well.
