My great grandmother and great grandfather moved from Poland to the United States in the early 1900s. They met in the United States and married. Magdelena Maciejewska was the daughter of Ignacy and Emilia of Kazimierz Biskupi. My grandmother Irene was the daughter of Magdelena. My grandmother was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; she learned Polish from her mother. As a child I always thought about travelling to Poland. When I discovered the opportunity on the internet to teach English, I knew I had to go. So here I am.
