10/01/05 Kasza out at Fall Hunting

I thought I had someone to ride Thuy, so I got Kasza ready to go to her first hunt. The person wasn't able to go at the last moment, but Kasza was ready so she got to go. I could tell she was a bit excited and nervous, but any time I asked her to stand she stood and waited for instructions. We only did walking and trotting, but she got to see a lot and we had a good time.

We had a problem getting into the property, so she got a bit hot waiting in the trailer.

 

I asked her to lunge a few circles just to see where her mind was. Not at all excited and very obedient.

She wasn't excited by all the other horses or the hounds.

We stayed back until I was sure she wouldn't get excited.

 

She was very curious about the horses and hounds ahead. It felt like she'd have liked to join them.

She's got quite a walk and trot. Every once in a while I'd ask her to whoa up and then we'd start marching on again.
