Thuy at the show

Thuy
Thuy, a tank - quite a difference from Adamir. Still, his CT dressage test was better than Adamir's...
I've ridden Thuy once or twice over the past month, but he's got a rider that wants to take him to a show later this month, so I thought it might be a good idea to get him out before then.

Thuy
Mother says he looks like a war horse. He was nice and steady, but stiff as a board on the left hand turns.
Thuy in dressage
I had to remind him, but he remembered how to flex. Too bad he couldn't remember how to be foward (at least he willingly picked up his canter, and no whip, even).

Thuy in dressage
Hard to believe, but he did a little stretchy trot. He got a CT dressage score of 43% and 2nd place. I was pleased. He's only been in two other dressage shows, and that was about 4 years ago.
Thuy jumping
I don't know that I've ever jumped Thuy over a course, but he was willing and round. We had one fence down (the same one as Adamir - probably my fault, because I thought it looked big as we approached it).
He hesitated on a couple, but listened when I told him to try.
Thuy jumping
Such a nice, willing and stout horse...
I had more than one person come up and ask about my 'Welsh Cob'. He's Welsh/Belgian.
