Bates Isabelle Dressage saddle
17" w/ Red, Blue, Black and Yellow gullet plates. Originally Cair
panels, converted to ReactorPanel Panels. Overgirth removed.
5 or 6 years old. Large removable thigh blocks, Black with fake fleece
Reactor Panel pocket pads, saddle cover, 4 large discs,
shorter ReactorPanel panels. Original Cair fillers included.
This saddle worked great for me and all my draft crosses/wide horses.
The gullets still switch out for
custom fitting to each horse (currently blue in saddle). Had to move up
to a larger saddle for me.
I didn't remove the original panels, so the ReactorPanel plates and
panels could easily be removed and the saddle restuffed with flocking.
For my horses, the Isabelle would rock on their flat backs, so what the
panels did was flatten out the panel connection to the horse and make
the saddle sit level. It also gives a larger area of connection to the
horse that worked for all the different widths I have.
As shown in the pictures where I'm riding in it, on the horse it's
difficult to tell that the saddle is different than any other saddle.
