James²⁴ STEWART, 5th High Steward of Scotland (Alexander²⁵ STEWART, 4th High Steward of Scotland, Walter²⁶ STEWART, 3rd High Steward of Scotland, Alan²⁷ FITZWALTER, 2nd High Steward of Scotland, Walter²⁸ FITZALAN, 1st High Steward of Scotland, Alan²⁹ FITZFLAALD, Lord OSWESTRY, Flaald³⁰ FITZGUIENOC, Guienoc³¹ FITZHAMMO, HAMO³² ) was born about 1243. James died 16 JUL 1309 at 66 years of age.

He married Egidia deBURGH. Egidia is the daughter of Walter deBURGH and Avelina (FitzJohn) FITZGEOFFERY. Succeeded as 5th High Steward 1283. He was one of the six magnates of Scotland chosen to act as regents of the Kingdom. Submitted to Edward I, 9th JUL 1297.

James STEWART, 5th High Steward of Scotland and Egidia deBURGH had the following child:
