He married Avelina (FitzJohn) FITZGEOFFERY about 1257. Avelina was the daughter of Sir_John FITZGEOFFREY and Isabel leBIGOD. Avelina died about 20 MAY 1274. Her body was interred in Dunmow Priory.

Walter deBURGH and Avelina (FitzJohn) FITZGEOFFERY had the following children:

391 ii. Richard deBURGH, Earl of ULSTER⁽²⁶²⁾ was born about 1259. Richard died 29 JUL 1326 in Athassel, at 67 years of age. He married Margaret deBURGH BY 27 FEB 1280 (1281). Margaret was the daughter of John deBURGH and Cecily BALLIOL. Margaret died about 1303. Baron of Connaught & Trim
