487. Gilbert²⁷ deCLARE, Earl of HEREFORD & GLOUCESTER (Richard²⁸ deCLARE, Earl of HEREFORD & CLOUCESTER)⁽³²⁴⁾ was born about 1180. Gilbert died 25 OCT 1230 in Penros, Brittany, at 50 years of age. His body was interred 10 NOV 1230 in Tewkewbury, England.

He married Isabel MARSHALL of PEMBROKE 9 OCT 1217. Isabel was the daughter of William MARSHALL 3rd Earl of PEMBROKE and Isabel deCLARE of PEMBROKE. Isabel died 17 JAN 1239(40) in Berkhamstead, England. 7th Earl of Clare, etc.; surety for Magna Carta

Gilbert deCLARE, Earl of HEREFORD & GLOUCESTER and Isabel MARSHALL of PEMBROKE had the following children:

488 i. Agnes (Rose, Rohese)²⁶ deCLARE.

489 ii. Richard deCLARE, Earl of HEREFORD & GLOUCESTER⁽³²⁵⁾ was born 4 AUG 1222. Richard died 15 JUL 1262 at 39 years of age. 8th Earl of Clare, etc.

+ 444 iii. Isabelle deCLARE was born 1226.
