He married Elizabeth FITZHENRY. Elizabeth⁽⁴³³⁾ was the daughter of HENRY I "The Lion of Justice" and unknown. Her body was interred in Holyrood Abbey.

Fergus of GALLOWAY and Elizabeth FITZHENRY had the following children:

+ 566 i. Gilbert²⁸ MacFERGUS.

633 ii. Uchtred MacFERGUS of GALLOWAY. Uchtred died 1174. He married Gunnild of DUNBAR. Gunnild is the daughter of Waltheof of ALLERDALE and Sigrid.
