1226. Arnulf I (Arnold) "The Old"³⁶ Count of Flanders & ARTOIS (Baldwin II³⁷ Count of Flanders, ARTOIS & BOULOGNE, Baldwin I "Bras-de-Fer"³⁸ of Flanders) was born about 890. Arnulf died 27 MAR 964(65).

He married Alix (Adelle) deVERMANDOIS 934. Alix was the daughter of Herbert II deVERMANDOIS Count of TROYES and Liegarde (Hildebrant) CAPET. Alix died 960 in Bruges.

Arnulf I (Arnold) "The Old" Count of Flanders & ARTOIS and Alix (Adelle) deVERMANDOIS had the following children:

+ 1152 i. (Baudoin) Baldwin III³⁵ Count of Flanders.

+ 1167 ii. Elstrude of Flanders.
