429. Eleanor²⁶ of PROVENCE (Raymond IV²⁷ BERENGER, Count of PROVENCE) was born in Aix-en-Provence about 1223. Eleanor died 24 JUN 1292 in Amesbury, Wiltshire, at 68 years of age. Her body was interred in Convent Church, Amesbury.⁽²⁹³⁾ RESEARCH NOTES: Her heart is kept in the Church of Friars Minor, London.

She married HENRY III PLANTAGENET in Canterbury Cathedral, 4 JAN 1236. HENRY was born in Winchester Castle 1 OCT 1207. HENRY⁽²⁹⁴⁾ was the son of JOHN "Lackland" PLANTAGENET and Isabelle TAILLEFER of ANGOULEME. HENRY died 16 NOV 1272 in Palace of Westminster, at 65 years of age.
