He married Marcia WELCH. Marcia was born in Bryan County, Georgia 20 DEC 1814. Marcia died 13 FEB 1890 at 75 years of age. From New London County, Connecticut. "Though a professional and accomplished carpenter chose for his vocation in life a rural farm which he conducted successfully and prosperously."

Powell ROBERTSON and Sarah (Sallie) GRANBERRY. William died 6 JUL 1886 in Covington Cty, MS, at 47 years of age. His
body was interred in Family Cemetary, Leaf River Church, CovingtonCty, MS.

eastern boundary of Covington, Mississippi 14 DEC 1839. William died 17 JAN 1916 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, at 76 years of
age.(98) RESEARCH NOTES: Died of "that dread malady
lagrippe" at the home of his daughter, Ida POLK. He married Sarah Ann ROBERTSON 2 JAN 1867.
Sarah was born in Covington Cty, MS 1 JAN 1845. Sarah was the daughter of Asaph Powell ROBERTSON and Sarah (Sallie) GRANBERRY. Sarah died 16 JAN 1900 in Hattiesburg, Jones County, Mississippi, at 55 years of age. SOURCE NOTES: pp. 40-41 printed ROBERTSON tree Enlisted in CSA 02/22/1862 at Williamsburg, MS; served throughout the war; was wounded at Alatoona, Ga. 10/05/1864; paroled at close of war 05/12/1865 at Meridian, MS.
After the war he married Sarah Ann ROBERTSON, and "removed to Sumter County, Alabama where he resided for a number of years tilling a small farm and teaching country schools in which he was especially gifted and talented."
