4010 i. Charles STUART, Duke of CORNWALL was born in Greenwich Palace 13 MAY 1629, and died there the same day.

+ 4011 ii. CHARLES II STUART, Prince of Wales was born in St. James Palace 29 MAY 1630. Charles married Catherine of BRAGANZA. He had two illegitimate children (the Duke of MONMOUTH and Charles BEAUCLERK, 1st Duke of ST. ALBANS) by the actress "Nell" GWYNNE. CHARLES II died in Whitehall Palace, 6 FEB 1695.

+ 4012 iii. Mary STUART, Princess Royal was born in St. James Palace 4 NOV 1631. She married WILLIAM II, Prince of ORANGE. Their son, WILLIAM III, Prince of ORANGE, married his first cousin MARY STUART. With her WILLIAM III became co-regent of Scotland and England after her father JAMES VIII/II STUART was declared in 1689 by Parliament to have abdicated the throne. Mary died 25 DEC 1660.

+ 4013 iv. JAMES VIII/II STUART, Duke of YORK was born in St. James Palace 14 OCT 1633. Lord High Admiral; King of Scotland and England after the death of his father in 1649; fled the country 11 DEC 1688; declared to have abdicated by Parliament, 28 JAN 1689; later transferred to St. Germaine-en-Laye. His son James STUART became known as the "Old Pretender" to the throne; his son in turn became known as the "Young Pretender," but is better known to us today as Prince Charles Edward STUART, or "Bonnie Prince Charlie."

4014 v. Elizabeth STUART was born in St. James Palace, 29 DEC 1635. Elizabeth died 8 SEP 1650 in Carrisbrook Castle, Isle of Wight.

4015 vi. Anne was born in St. James Palace 17 MAR 1637. Anne died in Richmond Palace, 5 NOV 1640.

4016 vii. Catherine STUART was born in Whitehall Palace 29 JUN 1639, and died there the same day.

4017 viii. Henry STUART, Duke of GLOUCESTER was born in Oatlands, Surrey, 8 JUL 1640. Henry died 13 SEP 1660 in Whitehall Palace.

4018 ix. Henrietta Anne STUART was born in Bedford House, Exeter, 16 JUN 1644. Henrietta Anne died 30 JUN 1670 in St. Cloud, France.
