P E R S O N A L I T Y 6 NENTJ -- The Field-Marshal [Mobilizer]Where the INTJ tries to analyze internal structures, the ENTJ delights in organizing external structures. (In fact, "structure" is the hallmark of all four of the types expressing the TJ Thinking-Judging combination.) The ENTJ is the great planner of strategies, expressed generally through policies and goals and concretely through charts, organizing principles, multi-step plans, and other "big picture" tools. Not all of the ENTJ's strategies will work, of course, but that won't stop the ENTJ from generating new plans. If given enough time he or she will often manage to design and communicate a plan whose execution succeeds beyond all expectations (except the ENTJ's). An important part of the ENTJ style is the ability to communicate long-range plans to others. While the details of the ENTJ's map may be fuzzy, the end objective will be clear, and presentations by the ENTJ will generally be so energetic and optimistic that it will be obvious to everyone who should lead the effort to achieve the objective. ENTJs don't always make good implementors of their own strategies, though, as they have a tendency to act before making sure that their plans accurately reflect real-world necessities. But usually they possess enough energy and enthusiasm to survive debacles, and manage to prevail gloriously the next time around. I. IntroductionII. BackgroundIII. Myers-Briggs Type TheoryIV.
